The life-size Pikachu Takara Tomy released in 1997 is back, reissued for Pokémon's 30th anniversary. The hang tag still makes the same claim it did then 本物と同じ大きさだよ, "it's the same size as the real thing" and at roughly 40cm tall, it means it.

This is the older, rounder Pikachu: weight low in the body, short arms, and the closed-mouth smile from the Red and Green era rather than the slimmed-down modern design. Flat red cheek patches, glossy plastic eyes, the three brown stripes and tail patch across the back, and a woven "Pokémon: Since 1996" anniversary label stitched into the seam.

Not a shelf piece. This one sits on the floor, on a bed, or in the corner of a room, and it takes up the space a real Pikachu would.
